The school of specialisation
Mapenane is officially School of Specialisation that cater for our learners with above average aptitude in a specific field. To be considered for the placement in our School of Specialisation, an applicant learners are required to write / participate in an Admissions Test (practical or written) and obtain an above average mark. Our Schools offers ONE of the following five fields of specialisation: Sports, Maths Science and ICT, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Engineering or Performing and Creative Arts.
The school Background
Since Mapenane secondary School started in 1976, it has served the community of Ga-Rankuwa area in Tshwane West district in Gauteng province, As a comprehensive secondary school, Mapenane has a long history of academic achievements and innovative programs that meet the needs of its highly diverse community. Today the school is accredited by Gauteng Department of Basic Education as a school of specialisation in Maths, Science and ICT. Good Maths, Science & Technology education is true to the child, true to life and true to science
Our School and Community
Schools of specialisation do change our learners to be able to either work immediately at industry leading companies, or they will embark on entrepreneurship and start their own businesses. Learners who attending our schools will have a greater probability to equipped their future learning with various critical industry skills such as welding, fitting, and turning, automotive mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and excavation ghostwriting schweiz. Learners are immersed in these high-demand skills and are exposed to the creation and operation of specific machinery and technical equipment.
Our School Capacity
The school operated with 17 staff members including the Management Team and the number increased to 19 in 2014 and now has gone up to 24. There were 3 PS staff members and they have now increased to 5 since 2016 year. Food handlers were 2 back them now they are 4, since 2019.
Our School Science lab
This is our school key to the success of having a Learning Lab in our school to a clear roadmap. Our government is invested in making sure that our school and educators are empowered to use the lab successfully, also that our ICT team is equipped to support the program, and most importantly, that our learners are excited about the possibilities for learning.

Our school is excited on having Smart Class Learning Management System, having a digital smart board that are designed to deliver educator led subjects. It includes two way interactive learning: (a) School environment between a leaner and educator, (b) Due to the innovative approach, layered structure and teaching.
